Wires Which Should be Avoided

Barb wire fences are most commonly used at military location. Barb wires are special type of steel fencing wire. Barb wire is constructed by sharp edges or points arranged at intervals along the strands. They are originally used for security reasons at really high valued places like military bases, naval bases, air force bases, even in presidential resident, in war etc. Barb wire fences are especially made fences, if a human or an animal tries passing through it can get seriously injured. Barbed wire fencing requires only fence posts, wire, and fixing devices such as staples. It is simple to construct, it’s not very expensive and quick to erect, even by an unskilled person.

Wire mesh manufacture, consist of flat and thin wire was first proposed in France, by Leonce Eugene Grassin-Baledans in 1860. Leonce design consisted of bristling points, creating a fence that was painful to cross. In April 1865 Louis François Janin proposed a double wire with diamond-shaped metal barbs and was granted a patent. Michael Kelly from New York had a similar idea of wire mesh manufacture, and proposed that the fencing should be used specifically for deterring animals.

Barb wire fence is a really useful tool to keep animals at bay but as compared to humans. A man can easily pass through a barb wire fence by just holding the two non-barbed wire section and pulling it in opposite direction. With the wire being tight once pulled it stays at its place or it comes back to its original position but takes time.
